3 Ways To Wear: The Linen Oversized Tee

The linen oversized tee is the perfect one-and-done piece that makes for easy summer dressing. From city to shore, it is incredibly. We asked style crush and busy mum Harri, to create 3 simple looks with maximum impact:

“Fashion for me has to fit into my lifestyle. I’ve got five minutes to get dressed, I have two kids and I hate feeling uncomfortable. My wardrobe and everything in it has to reflect this and my favourites are pieces that are effortless, easy to wear, almost nonchalant, but that make me feel put together. Ille De Cocos ticks all the boxes.” All About Harri

1. Beautifully soft and lightweight, this piece is great worn as a beach coverup.

2. Add a leather legging for an elevated day-to-evening look.

3. Feminine pleats are perfect for effortless daytime chic.

Make It A December To Remember: Christmas Rituals with Wear & Where

With a refreshingly laid-back approach to style, online magazine Wear & Where is an endless source of everyday inspiration. We caught up with editor Natasha for her top tips on making the most of the festive season.

Setting the mood...

"I have candles burning all year ‘round and switch them up according to the season. As of December 1st, I light Diptyque’s Baies or Pomander, SevenSeventeen’s Sparkle or Neom’s Christmas Wish to make the house smell gorgeously festive.

Decking the Halls...

"Were it entirely up to me, my home would be a mass of greenery, white lights and white/gold/glass ornaments, but I have to take account of the tastes of others (including an 8 and 4-year-old) so we also have splashes of red via kitsch ornaments. We’re currently house-hunting and the wish list genuinely features ‘is it a two-tree house?’ (One for me, one for them!)

This year's Christmas Party must-haves...

"Any chance of Michael Buble crooning at the piano? Failing that, a fabulous statement skirt (probably sequinned) dressed down with a sweater. Oh, and mini mince pies!"

Favourite family tradition...

"I am a total Christmas fiend and love all the traditions - from choosing the tree and decorating to a festive soundtrack (which must feature ‘White Christmas’ and ‘All I Want for Christmas…’), to the excitement of writing and leaving letters to Father Christmas (the elves leave tiny notes and a trail of glitter on the fireplace by way of reply), and going into London to see the Christmas lights. Magical. (Possibly less so: my husband’s campaign for us all to go for a Christmas Eve open air swim…)"

Festive tipple of choice...

Mulled wine. And champagne. (Not at the same time.)

Christmas Day just isn't the same without...

Starting the day with the children piling into our bed to open their stockings, and ending it eating cheese around the fire.

On my wishlist…

Finding our dream house! (Or a stack of books, a candle, a cosy jumper, and a Gucci GG belt would do me nicely...)

Summer style with Dress Like A Mum: Sweater x Short-Shorts

Dress Like A Mum x Ille De Cocos

(Dress Like A Mum, photographed by Jane Looker)

Inspired by Dress Like A Mum's effortless sweater x short-shorts look, we've put together three top tips for staying pose-worthy this summer, even if the sunshine goes MIA.

1. Colour Pops reign supreme

Stripe Sweater x Shorts outfit Inso

Whether in a solid or stripe, colour pops are magnetic - a must for summer in the city. Our candy striped sweater with warm coral is a modern take on a classic breton. In a relaxed silhouette, this sweater looks great loosely tucked-in at the front and worn loose at the back. Finely knitted in pure merino wool.

Wear it with:

White denim shorts and silver kicks - we love these silver foiled exclusive Converse from Office. Finish with a pair of sunset-tinted aviators - perpetual sunshine guaranteed through these babies.

2. Make a chic understatement...

Á la Dress Like A Mum sporting the Qui Moi Sweater, translation "Who, Me?". Chic, fun and versatile, this style can be worn as slim fit, or size-up for a more relaxed look.

Wear it with:

Flirty shorts like these broderie beauties in black, which add a touch of elegance and modernity to your daytime look. Show off your summer pedi with a slim pair of sandals in neon. We love these lady-like slides by Sophia Webster.

3. Cashmere is always a good idea

In a beautifully soft, grey textured marl, this luxurious wardrobe essential is your every-weather sweater. In pure cashmere with a relaxed fit and a gentle, swing shape, this piece is designed to stand the test of time.

Wear it with:

Printed pool shorts and nude espadrille wedges. Elevate your look with Miu Miu pentagonal sunnies.

Candy Stripes, Red Lips and Lovers

Ille De Coco and Spilt Milk

Blogger Spilt Milk wears Ille De Cocos candy stripes and dreams of wafting about in nothing but red lipstick and her lover's shirt ☺. Here she shares the realities of life as a recent mum and beauty and style blogger.

I love what I do because...

I’ve ended up doing a bit of everything - a Jack of all trades and master of none! By some weird twist of fate (I can't claim any planning went into this) I now spend half of the week at home (mostly out shopping ☺) with my daughter, half of the week in my 'day job' and the rest of the time in-between frantically slapping skincare products on my face and blogging about acne, espadrilles and how to combat grey hair. I love the variety (and contrast) it brings to my post-maternity leave life and since starting to blog as the 'spilt milk' I've really developed a passion for photography and writing. I always knew that I was obsessed with buying clothes and beauty products (sigh) - but it has been so much fun channelling my creative juices (daaarling) into something completely new. In addition, I've also been able to 'justify' buying more stuff. Yeah, go blogging!

I find inspiration...

Anywhere I can take my phone and have a good old scroll through Instagram. I'd like to pretend that I am inspired by passers-by whilst nibbling on a soy, sourdough crostini in a Shoreditch eatery. But the reality since having a baby 7 months ago is that I don't go out like I used to. On the odd occasion that I am out I am generally either too plastered to notice other people's looks or I'm with my daughter and consumed by trying to rescue teething toys that have been chucked on a rancid cafe floor. So the majority of my inspiration comes from a good old style stalk on Instagram, whilst breastfeeding or sitting on the loo. There is so much accessible stuff out there, like @dresslikeamum @chloelovestoshop @nowweare40 that you don't need to leave your sofa to get an outfit sorted. God bless the Internet and home delivery.

Great style to me is...

Effortless chic. If I could be reincarnated as a Parisian waif with flawless skin and a penchant for wearing nothing but red lipstick and her lover's shirt then I would. Sadly, I ain't that gal. But being comfortable in what you wear is the key to any outfit (in addition to highly structured underwear).

I'm currently coveting...

A decent night's sleep and about 4kg of postpartum weight loss. Both of these things seem unlikely so I'd settle for a really great pair of dungarees. This kind of ties (seamlessly) into the next question, which is...

What is big for Spring?

Dungarees and jumpsuits are absolutely everywhere but I can't seem to find any that have made me look anything other than bulky and a bit of a loser. Maje had an amazing looking pair of black denim dungarees that I quite fancied - so probably those with a pair of dungaree shaped Spanx would be first on my list.
